THE SHOW

Big band or small band. The eight-piece unit is affectionately known as the ‘London Hot Rhythm Boys.’

The repertoire consists of songs such as
Mack the Knife
The Lady is a Tramp
Just a Gigolo/I aint got Nobody
L-O-V-E-
The Birth of the Blues
Bad Bad Leroy Brown
I’ve got You under my Skin
New York New York
Straighten up and Fly Right
Come Fly with Me
Minnie the Moocher
My Way

Classic titles from the American Songbook with a strong jazz influence. Duncan presents the show in English or German, with various anecdotes and a wry sense of humour.
As a jazz musician Duncan is also at home with smaller outfits, sometimes just a rhythm section.

The Pasadena Roof Orchestra has a word wide reputation playing dance music from the 1920’s and 1930’s. Duncan was the lead singer and front man of this international band from 1990 to 1996 and again from February 2002 to the present.
A reviewer in Reno Arizona U.S.A. wrote,
‘the catalyst that moves the Pasadena Roof Orchestra from first rate to memorable is the brash magnetism and suave exterior of singer Duncan Galloway’.
